We will start our trip about 09.30 from Haapsalu Coach Station.
Vormsi is a sunny, mysterious and hospitable island. Thanks to its beautiful wild nature there’s a lot to discover in every season.
Before World War II the population of Vormsi was about 2500. Most of them were Estonian Swedes ("rannarootslased" in Estonian or "coastal Swedes" in English) who left the island in 1944 and went back to Sweden. Currently this small island has only about 400 inhabitants. The main activities are tourism, agriculture, forestry and fishing.
We will visit Vormsi Farm Museum to get to know the history of the island. We will also see Norrby's lower and upper lighthouse, Lake Prästvike which is situated in the middle of the island and of course the pristine nature of Vormsi. We will take a hike on marked hiking trail that brings us to the observation tower, which offers a magnificent view over the sea.
The ferry brings us back to mainland from Sviby Harbor at 17.05. Arrival to Haapsalu Coach Station at 18.00.
